Treffynnon is a traditional, stone-built, mountain farmhouse with stunning, panoramic views over Newport Bay, Dinas Island and Morfa Head. The house sits above the picturesque town of Newport, on the north-western slopes of Carn Ingli (Mount of Angels) in the Preseli hills. The house provides luxurious, high quality, self-catering facilities for up to eight people, in complete privacy and seclusion.
Recently extended and renovated, the furnishings, fittings and decor are to high residential standards with an Aga in the kitchen, wood-burning stove in the living room and under-floor heating throughout. Treffynnon is a warm and comfortable retreat for year-round holidays and breaks.
Accommodation is available on three floors with 2 double bedrooms and bunkroom and family bathroom on the first floor and low-ceilinged attic room with two single beds.
The kitchen door opens on to a sheltered and secluded, south-facing patio and lawn, ideal for al fresco breakfasts and lunches. A second patio on the seaward side of the property is an excellent spot to watch spectacular sunsets over the ocean. Garden seating is provided in both areas and a kettle barbecue is available.
There is an adjacent paddock that is shared with the owners of the house, who live next door, that is ideal for hill football, mountain cricket, frisbee and general rushing about and ample off-road parking is provided for three cars.
The area around Treffynnon has lots to see and do for all the family. There is the large expanse of sand at Traeth Mawr, the smaller Parrog Beach on the estuary and the beautiful and secluded shingle beach at Aberhigian, a short walk along the Coastal Path.
