On a spring tide the waters of the Cleddau Estuary lap the back door of Ferryman's Cottage. This is romantic spot tucked away in its own seclusion where from the sitting room window you can watch the waders feeding, otters playing or even occasionally a seal drifting by looking for sea bass.

Set in the middle of a 600 acre private estate, Ferryman’s Cottage is on the edge of a Special Area of Conservation in the centre of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with a view that is always changing with the light and the tide. It is a birdwatcher's paradise. There are miles of private roads to walk along the estuary or through the woods.

A comfortable cottage atmosphere with sitting/dining room, two bedrooms (one twin, one double) and one bathroom with rain dance power shower over the bath all set on one floor. The kitchen is equipped with a four ring electric cooker, under counter fridge and dishwasher.

Such is the seclusion of Ferryman’s that it is at the end of 300m footpath that is not wide enough for a car along the shore line past the ruined church .

    • On the estate itself is one of the better restaurants in the area, The Park @ Slebech which is open Wednesdays through Saturdays for dinner and for Sunday Brunch and Lunch serving fish bought direct from the boats in St Brides Bay and vegetables from the Kitchen Garden an mere 2 minutes walk for Ferryman's Cottage. There is a shared all weather tennis court and bicycles are available for hire on site. There are also shared laundry facilities on the estate.
