Nestling in the pretty upper reaches of the River Dyfi valley in the Snowdonia National Park, Plasau Barn offers visitors a haven of peace and tranquility. Located on a hillside amongst delightful woodlands and pastures, there are spectacular views in all directions and nearby access to an abundance of footpaths and mountain walks. Wildlife abounds at Plasau and most woodland birds can be seen along with larger raptors such as buzzards and, on occasions, red kites.

Plasau is situated between the villages of Dinas Mawddwy and Llanymawddwy. Dinas Mawddwy has pubs and hotels offering restaurant or bar menus.

The market towns of Machynlleth and Dolgellau are each about 13 miles away and the lovely, unspoiled seaside town of Aberdovey a mere 40 minute drive. Access to the rest of Snowdonia is easy and the beautiful lakes of Vyrnwy and Bala are a spectacular 20 minute drive away over the highest mountain pass in Wales.

For those seeking fresh air and action, many outdoor activities are available in the area including cycling, fishing, shooting, boating, walking and climbing.
