There are other golf locations which include The Ashburnham Golf Club, which has long been regarded as one of the best links courses in Britain only a ten minute drive away. The Glyn Abbey Golf Course at Trimsaran is a parkland course and is also only a 10 minute drive away. Llanelli is a coastal town in the county of Carmarthenshire and is a 20min drive from Swansea. Historically Llanelli was originally a mining and tinplate town. It is home to one of the worlds most famous rugby football teams the SCARLETS. The most recent attraction is the new Machhynys golf and country club, the course being designed by Jack Nicklaus.
