This detached cottage is situated on the edge of a village in the Avon Valley. It has open views accross the valley and is next to a small wood. There is a terrace outside with a pretty pergola shaded by a vine. Also a Summer house with garden furniture. On the first floor, the cottage has 4 bedrooms; One with double bed, one with twin beds and two rooms with single beds, one with a wash basin. All bedrooms have fitted cupboards. The bathroom is also on this floor as well as a utility room with washing and drying machines and a sink. This room has a door to the carparking area which is a convenient way to bring luggage into the cottage. The village has no shop, but a mile away there is an excellent shop and post office. Other shops are in Pewsey which also has fast trains to London [1 hour]. There are several Market towns nearby, notably Marlborough, Devizes and Salisbury.There is a good local bus service to all these attractive towns. Golf, horse-riding and fishing are also available within easy reach. There are many Open Gardens to visit during the Spring and Summer as well as famous gardens such as Stourhead. Several Ancient monuments are nearby. Stonehenge and Avebury are a short drive away. Bird watching, walking over downland with many varieties of flowers and butterflies. A local Garden centre with a'Pick your Own' fruit and vegetables, and Savernake Forest and West Woods for wonderful woodland walks.
