Vacation Rental Description

A newly converted camping barn on the southern slopes of the Mendips, providing basic accommodation in an idyllic and remote location at the junction of a public footpath and bridleway, 10-15 minutes walk from the village centre of Westbury-sub-Mendip (from which there are hourly bus services to Wells and Weston-super-Mare. Ideal for walkers, cavers, cyclists, horse riders, naturalists, artists and anyone who hankers after the simple life or who just wants to get away from it all.

Facilities

Accommodation is open plan with a sleeping gallery above the main ground floor area. There is a double bed upstairs, and a futon sofa-bed on the ground floor. Hot water for the shower room and kitchen area is by Calor gas. Cooking facilities are limited to two gas rings and an outside BBQ. Lighting is by candles, as there is no mains electricity (a generator is provided for emergency use).

A deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking, the balance to be paid in full one month before your visit. Payment may be made by cheque or by credit card online via Paypal (subject to additional 5% surcharge).
If you need to cancel your booking, the full amount will be due, unless we manage to re-let, in which case your money will be refunded, less a £10.00 administration fee. We therefore advise you to insure your holiday.
