Beanacre Barn is located in the beautiful Mendip Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in Somerset and positioned on the edge of a village with views over the rolling hills. The holiday cottage dates back to the 16th century and was originally part of Church Farm. It now provides exceptionally spacious holiday accommodation with much character which has been beautifully refurbished by the owners to ensure your stay is relaxing and memorable. It is graded 4 Star by VisitBritain.com, the British national tourist agency.
The cottage has been designed to sleep two guests but also offers a high quality sofa-bed in the sitting room which can accommodate a further two guests or visitors. The furnishings are of a traditional style which combined with modern facilities, ensures a high level of comfort during your stay. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard, including cooker with ceramic hob and fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and large fridge/freezer. In the sitting room is a log-burning stove, TV with digital freeview, DVD, Video and HiFi. There is another TV and radio in the bedroom. All bed linen, duvets and towels are provided. There is Free WiFi access to the internet The Barn is centrally heated (October to April).
The accommodation is on one level providing easy walking access. There is one step up at front door. Positioned in a peaceful setting, guests can enjoy its own beautiful walled cottage garden with south facing patio which provides the perfect place to relax. The Beanacre Barn is the perfect country retreat to get away from the pressures of every day life and explore this beautiful corner of the West Country of England. Bath, with its Roman Baths and fine Georgian architecture, and the historic port of Bristol are only thirteen miles away. The ancient cathedral city of Wells is just five miles, with interesting shops and good selection of restaurants. There are a number of inns and pubs serving excellent food within 3 miles.The local pub, 700 metres, serves bar food with good ales and cider. Other places of interest nearby include: Glastonbury; Cheddar Gorge; Wookey Hole caves and many stunning National Trust properties.
