It is ideal for two people (it has been called “a love-nest for two”), but a comfortable sofa-bed in the living room can accommodate two more for occasional use. Popular for short breaks. 
 
The Retreat has a similar idyllic setting to Holly Cottage – by the stream, at the edge of the unspoilt the garden and off-road parking space for one car. Owing to the steep garden, only children six and over may be accommodated. 
 
You enter at the first floor level from the garden at the back of the house. The main room is open plan, divided between a compact kitchen and a sunny living room. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric hob, combined microwave/oven/grill and fridge/freezer and a washing machine. 
 
The living room has a dining area, and is well furnished with double sofa and easy chairs and a writing desk. TV, video, digital Freeview TV & radio, DVD and CD players, with an assortment of CDs, books and guidebooks. There is a ring binder containing over 60 Places to Visit. A wireless connection is provided for Broadband/Internet access. 
 
Upstairs is a cosy bedroom with comfortable double bed. A spacious shower room completes the facilities. Oil-fired central heating throughout.
