Great Pulteney Street was commissioned by Sir William Pulteney, designed by the architect Thomas Baldwin and completed in 1789. At over 1000 feet long and 100 feet wide, the road itself is the widest and grandest in Bath & is reputed to be the longest boulevard of its kind in Europe.

Great Pulteney Street is one of only a few Grade 1 listed (of outstanding or national architectural or historic interest) streets in Bath. The apartment is on the favoured 1st floor - the piano nobile or principal floor of the original house with larger windows & grand high ceilings characteristic of Georgian architecture.

Bath is a World Heritage Site and has a variety of theatres, museums, and other cultural and sporting venues with events going on throughout the year.
