Weymouth lies in the heart of Thomas Hardy Country and is on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast surrounded by designated areas of outstanding natural beauty with numerous pretty Dorset villages with their thatched coottages all around.
There are excellent local bus services from the town centre to Portland, the historic county town of Dorchester or on to Bridport Lyme Regis and Axminster. Portland Bill is served by an open top bus in the season. There are Jurassic buses running either West to Exeter or East to Poole. Regular trains run to Bath and Bristol or Bournemouth and London Waterloo. Cerne Abbas, Sherborne and Shaftesbury are nearby with Salisbury and Stone Henge also within easy driving distance.

Wellington Court is a former army barracks, built 1793-1802,which was tastefully restored and converted into apartments in 1984. The parade ground has been utilised to provide cottages, gardens and an allocated parking space for each flat. The complex is situated in a quiet position close to The Nothe Gardens on a penninsula dividing Weymouth and Portland harbours.

We have 3 flats available:-
Ground floor, suitable for wheelchairs.
First floor of a two storey building overlooking the harbour and town bridge.
Second floor (top) with a panoramic view of the bay, town and surrounding hills.
The town centre and safe sandy beach are reached by a short walk around the picturesque harbour.
Many attractions are within walking distance and there is little need for a car.
Night storage heating and hot water are inclusive in the ground and second floor flats but electricity for cooking, TV and lighting is payable via £1 coin in the slot meters. In the harbour view flat all electricity used is charged by meter readings.
All flats are fully carpeted and equipped with:-
Bedroom. Double Bed, linen and blankets provided.
Bathroom. Shower over bath
Lounge.4' sofa bedwith linen and duvet. Colour TV. VCR/DVD
Kitchen. 4 ring hob. Fan assisted oven, fridge, washing machine/tumble drier. microwave oven.
An iron, ironing board and clothes airer are provided.
By prior arrangement a high chair and cot(no bedding) are available.

NB. WE DO NOT PROVIDE TOWELS, please bring your own.
