Built of Purbeck stone around the beginning of the last century it is set in two acres of secluded terraced lawns and gardens.

Downstairs there is an entrance hall and cloak room.

The kitchen is a good size with specially built elm furniture and beech wood table and chairs. For cooking there is an Aga, two auxiliary gas rings and a small convection oven. There is also a waste disposer, dish washer, ice cream maker, full 'batterie de cuisine' and a walk in larder with two refrigerators. French doors open onto a side terrace with garden table and built in barbecue.

The adjacent dining room looks south and has a large circular oak table which can seat 10. For tableware there is a choice of plain white porcelain or pretty Italian hand decorated earthenware.

Off the hall is a laundry room with washer and dryer. A door leads to back entrance lobby with an extra upright fridge-freezer.

The large living room faces south and west with marble fireplace (wood supplied) and French doors to the front terrace. It is furnished with three comfortable sofas and arm chairs. There is also a bookcase, piano, disc player and TV with tape and DVD player.

Upstairs there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The 'master', bedroom has a double bed and adjoining dressing room and bathroom, two more bedrooms have double beds, the fourth bedroom has twin beds and the fifth bedroom is ideal for children with two single beds.

Although the house has mainly country antique furniture it isn't 'precious'. There are lots of pictures and the whole house has a very bright and cheerful ambience.

The grounds are of about two acres of terraced lawns and flower beds and include a grass tennis court and croquet lawn with pavilion, vegetable garden and fruit trees. In front of the house there is a wide terrace with large marble table and chairs and umbrellas for eating outside. Off the kitchen there is a side terrace with teak table and seat and built in barbecue.

There are superb coastal walks east and west from the house and un-crowded beaches within walking distance. Although the Cove is popular in summer, the house is secluded and peaceful at all times. The village has a pub and there are others that can be reached on foot across country.

There ia a village store for newspapers and basics and the local fish shop in the Cove is excellent. Wool village, about 4 miles away has a traditional butcher, chemist shop and a well stocked grocery and general store. There is also a good farm shop with free range poultry, meat and locally grown fruit and vegetables.

Lulworth is an ideal location from which to explore the Purbeck Peninsular and the nearby 'Hardy Country' made famous in the novels of Thomas Hardy. Purbeck has some of the loveliest countryside in the UK with many pretty Purbeck stone villages and the spectacular ruins of Corfe Castle. It is also at the centre of the Jurassic coast famous for its wealth of fossil remains. The area known as the Fossil Forest is within walking distance of the house.

High Season Price : £2850 per Week

Lettings are normally Saturday am to Saturday am.
Maximum party 8 adults and 2 children.
Rent includes all charges except telephone.
Returnable deposit to cover telephone and breakages £250.
50% of total rent payable on confirmation of booking and the balance plus deposit, 8 weeks before commencement of rental.
Our cleaner will attend for a complete clean following your departure but the house must be left clean and tidy (otherwise an additional cleaning charge will be deducted from the deposit).
Any breakages or damage to be immediately notified.
Cancellation; 10% of rent up to eight weeks prior, or 10% thereafter if an alternative tenant can be found.
A TRAMPOLINE is available for use, ONLY WITH ADULT SUPERVISION and its use is entirely at the tenant’s risk.
