West Lane Cottage sits in a pretty Dorset village with thatched cottages and the River Piddle running through it. We are adjacent to a bridle path which will take you on country walks near and far through the Piddle Valley and the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Dorchester, the County Town, is a ten minute drive away and within half an hour you can reach the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Weymouth, historic Sherborne, Bridport, Wimborne, Abbotsbury, and Cerne Abbas. There are several National Trust properties within easy reach and also Max Gate the home of Thomas Hardy, whose sister used to teach in Piddlehinton.  
 
The Thimble Inn is a short walk away and the award winning European Inn is a 20 minute cross country stroll. Just a few hundred yards down the bridle path is the Millenium Green play area and golf, fishing, horse riding and a sports centre are all nearby.

    We ask for a deposit of 25% on booking with the balance payable 60 days before departure. In the event of cancellation, we will endevour to re-book the cottage, but may need to pass on advertising costs to you in this respect. We accept cheque or BACS payments.
