A wonderful cottage that sleeps 5 in a conservation village surrounded by stunning countryside near the sea.

Vacation Rental Description

This is period house attached to the owners historic house. It stands in large grounds and the owners have a small holding including sheep goats and chickens. The cottage is very well equipped with modern facilities. It has a new bathroom with seperate walk in shower and bath. The Cottage is much loved by guests and many return time and time again. The cottage has a large lounge with comfertable chairs TV, DVD, Freeview a large table and chairs. A well equiped kitchen with all the equipment you would expect in your own home. There is a seperate dining room. Stairs lead to a double bedroom which has a king size bed. Leading off this bedroom is the newly fitted bathroom which in turn leads to very large room which has a double and a single bed there is room to comfortably put a matress on the floor for an extra child for example. The garden is extensive and guests children have the use of a variety of indoor and outdoor toys for their amusement.There is off street parking at the cottage.

The cottage is on the edge of a conservation village, the village has a shop and a very friendly pub which serves excellent food.There are wonderful walks from the cottage the countryside is epitomised by rolling hills many of which had iron age forts on. The highest hill in Dorset adjoins the cottage it is owned by the National Trust.The Jurassic Coast a world heitage site, the only natural one in the UK, is a few miles away. The delightful historic sea side town of Lyme Regis is about 20 minutes away. Bridport a thriving market town well known for its arts scene is about 15 minutes away and the delightful small market town of Beaminster is 3 miles away. The area abounds in historic homes and gardens some owned by the National Trust. For example Forde Abbey and Montacute House.
