Vacation Rental Description
A spacious coachhouse conversion in the grounds of a large country house in the beautiful countryside of the South Hams near the historic town of Totnes. Between the sailing centres of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Salcombe and the wilderness of Dartmoor, it is an ideal centre for those wishing to explore this popular but unspoiled region with its excellent beaches, pubs, restaurants and charming towns and villages.
The centre of the house is dominated by the impressive, double-height, south facing living room with its gallery, open roof beams, natural stone fireplace, bookshelves, pottery and rugs. It has both a living and a dining area. The modern fitted kitchen/breakfast room is well equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, electric hob and oven together with a breakfast table. The utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, and boiler. On the other side of the living room is a ground floor double bedroom, which like the living room and kitchen, overlooks the large cobbled courtyard belonging to the house. The en-suite bathroom has a bath, WC and washbasin.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one at either end of the living room gallery. One has twin beds and the other a double bed. Next door to the double bedroom is the second bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin.
Outside, across the courtyard, two archways in its stone wall lead to an enclosed, lawned garden bordered by shrubs and climbers growing against the wall. There is ample parking for two or more cars.
