East Barton is conveniently situated in the Exe valley 3 miles south of Tiverton. Once a dairy farm, East Barton has been renovated to provide a lovely country residence set in 23 acres of gardens, pasture and woodland. We have been providing quality bed and breakfast accommodation for many years. The recently finished cottage Little Barton enables us to offer luxury self catering accommodation. All guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens, grounds, sloping woodland and pasture. There are several sets of steps, not suitable for the very infirm or wheel chairs. 
 
Little Barton is a single storey cottage attached to the main house. Travertine tiled throughout with under floor heating this spacious accommodation sleeps two. The double bedroom has a contemporary en suite bathroom with a corner shower and a sunken bath. The magnificent main room with huge fireplace and double height ceiling, includes TV a wide selection of books and Wi-Fi. The shaker style kitchen with views to the river Exe is fully equipped and in the double aspect dining area the pine table seats four. The large south facing porch makes an ideal spot for morning coffee. This very special accommodation is accessed by exclusive entry from your parking area down eight wide stone steps via the pretty walled garden. Sleeps two - additional guests enjoy preferential en suite room rates in the main house.

    • The opportunity to explore Devon on foot ranges from hiking routes across the high moorland of Dartmoor National Park, to easy flat routes beside the River Exe at Exeter and the Grand Western Canal in Tiverton. There are many walking routes and signposted footpaths in Mid Devon. Exmoor and Dartmoor are within easy reach for fabulous walking. Fly fishing is available on the Exe by the day or 5 days. Course fishing nearby. Several golf clubs within 15 minutes drive. Exe Valley Leisure centre has tennis courts, gym and swimming pool. Local fitness classes, step, pilates, yoga. 
    Tiverton 3 miles, is a small market town with a variety of shops and super markets and restaurants. Award winning museum, canal and Knightshays NT 
    The beautiful city of Exeter 9, miles has a wide selection of major high street stores plus independent boutiques and jewellers.
