Two 'cottages' with wood burning stoves in beautiful,sleepy Mortehoe. Cottages flank the main house, sleeps 4.
Vacation Rental Description
Access to the lawn at the front of the house for football, badminton, sunbathing etc. There is also a children's play area at the back, and plenty of parking space in the drive. The cottages are ideal for family holidays and weekend breaks.
The nearest beach is the enchanting and empty Rockham Bay - a 10 minute walk down the hill. There is excellent surfing at Woolacombe Bay (3 minutes by car), and at Croyde or Saunton Sands (15mins). (Click for picture of Rockham)
There are excellent bays and beaches for shells, shrimping, and mussels at low tide.
There are breathtaking walks around Morte Point and along the cliff tops towards either Woolacombe or Ilfracombe.
Coastal walks round Mortepoint, to Lee Bay or Ilfracombe
Local golf courses cater for all standards, from the pitch and putt in Woolacombe, the Woolacombe and the Mortehoe golf club, to the championship links course at Saunton Sands - 'probably the finest 36 holes of links in the British Isles'. (see pictures)

Mortehoe is a charming village with a village shop (open from April to November), a Post Office, and delicatessen.There are also three pubs in the village – all serving food, and there is a fish and chip shop.
The village is on the edge of stunning National Trust land, offering fabulous walks, cliff top views and abundant wildlife.
As well as walking there is also surfing, golf, fishing, rock pooling, and numerous other activities.
North Devon is a magnificent place to be at any time of the year. It is a perfect destination for a Summer “bucket and
spade” holiday as well as a cosy retreat for some peace and quiet in mid Winter.
It is a beautiful and peaceful place to be during the changing of the seasons of Spring and Autumn.
In nearby Woolacombe you can surf or if you prefer walking you have miles of national trust coastline to help yourself to!

We have been renting our house and cottages for over 10 years.
Usually on arrival you will be met by our house keeper and there will be a welcome Cream Tea awaiting you in your fridge.
