The nearest beaches are Bigbury, Bantham and Thurlestone and numberous sandy coves dotted in between, Kingsbridge at the heart of the South Hams is about a 6 mile drive, and has an interesting mix of small shops and restuarnats, along with boating activities including trips down the estuary to Salcombe. With Dartmouth, Totnes walking or riding on the tors of Dartmoor all close at hand.  
 
Guests can enjoy 28 acres of private grounds, including woodland, wild flower meadows, a walled orchard and a lake. Outdoor activities include a kidney-shaped swimming pool, heated during the summer months, a hard tennis court, coarse fishing, woodland adventure play area. Indoor facilities include heated swimming pool and a fitness suite. All in all there is something here for everyone, and plenty of quiet corners to sit and enjoy.  
 
Hope Cottage is located in the original malting house of the estate, and has been tastefully furnished in modern style whilst retaining teh stone features and character of this delightful property. The private enclosed, courtyard is ideal for evening barbecues and relaxing in the sun. The front entrance leads into the attractive living room with comfy sofas, dining area and open plan kitchen. Upstairs are two bedrooms one double and one twin room with full sized bunk beds. Bathroom with bath and overhead shower.  
 
Facilities include: TV, DVD and CD player. Electric oven, hob and microwave, fridge, with freezer box, washing machine, duvets, linen, towels, gas and elctricity inclusive.

On the Colmer Estate there is a heated indoor pool and a large outdoor pool heated in the summer. A well maintained hard tennis court, small gym suite. There is 30 acres of private land for guests just to relax and absorb the tranquility and for the children there is a walled garden for football and play area.
