Situated in a peaceful spot with stunning views, yet easily accessible to the A303, Otter Cottage has an enviable position. It has been thoroughly updated with full central heating, yet still having a lot of charm with exposed beams in the bedrooms.inglenook fireplace with wood-burner and window seats in the sitting room. It has its own fenced patio area with seating overlooking the valley. There are numerous country walks down lanes full of wild flowers in the spring and summer months with all kinds of farm animals nearby. 
Accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms upstairs with the double bedroom having a vanity unit and plenty of storage space, a spacious twin bedroom and a smaller bedroom with sloping ceiling, single bed and z-bed suitable for children. 
Downstairs there is a shower room, WC and basin. Leading off the hall there is an open plan sitting-room with large inglenook and wood-burner, TV with DVD player & video, combined with dining area and kitchen with pine kitchen units, fridge-freezer, microwave and full cooker and oven. There is a washing-machine in the understairs area. 
All duvet covers and sheets are included as is electricity and logs for the wood-burner. Towels are available at a small extra cost. The cottage is available from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. Please ask if you wish to arrive earlier to drop off your luggage. 
The nearest town is Honiton, formerly one of the centres of the medieval West Country cloth trade, later becoming famous for its lave, the excellence of which became known the world over. The town has a fascinating museum containing the world's principal collection of Honiton lace. Honiton is renowned as the main centre for antiques in the South West. There is also a street market in the town on Tuesdays and Saturdays. 
Honiton is within easy reach of both Dartmoor and Exmoor for wonderful walks and stunning scenery, and is not far from the city of Exeter with its superb cathedral. The other nearest city is Taunton, county town of Somerset, a good shopping place with cinema, ten-pin bowling and other attractions. 
The coast at Seaton is a 20 minute drive away with sandy beaches at Lyme Regis and Charmouth, famous for fossils, about 40 minutes by car. There are several National Trust houses in the vicinity, well worth a visit.

There is a small golf course in Rawridge, about 5 minutes away. Further courses are available in Honiton and Sidmouth. There is sailing and fishing on the coast at Beer and Seaton. There is a children's playground in the village and a restaurant in the local pub. Many other pubs are in the locality all of which offer good food. There is a sports centre and swimming pool in Honiton.

£25 per week deposit required by cheque made payable to Mrs A Hall. The balance of the charge is due 6 weeks prior to your holiday. It may be possible to bring cash for payment of your week, but please ask about this. Sorry I do not accept credit cards. Short breaks available from £100. Longer winter breaks will have a discount.
