Located in an idyllic, quiet setting, Beech Cottage is set in the Blackdown Hills, easily accessible, being only 5 miles from the historic market town of Honiton. Ideally positioned to explore Devon and Somerset for walking, cycling or simply a quiet weekend away from the bustle of city life.
Beech Cottage is a pretty detached self catering luxury holiday cottage on the edge of Dunkeswell in the heart of the Blackdown Hills in Devon which sleeps four persons. Rated 4 star by Visit Britain. The cottage is equipped to a high standard, with its own patio area for alfresco dining ,if the weather permits. Full size hard tennis court for use by guests. Welcome hamper provided. Egyptian cotton bed linen and luxury bath sheets provided. Travel cot available.
The well equipped kitchen /diner contains a Microwave, hob and oven, built in fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. From the kitchen leads into a good sized beamed sitting room and a separate WC with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The sitting room is equipped with TV,DVD and CD player with access through French windows to a lit patio area exclusively for Beech cottage guests where you can sit and relax around a table and chairs during the day or evening, ideal for a relaxing coffee or BBQ with a chimnea in the evening.
An open tread wooden staircase leads upstairs, where all areas have wooden floorboards, to two bedrooms, one large twin and one double and a separate bathroom with bath, WC and separate shower.

The nearest restaurant is just a short walk away 300yds down the lane at Fishponds House Hotel. There are numerous pubs within easy reach of the cottage in the surrounding villages Dunkeswell 1 mile, Hemyock, Upottery, Culmstock , with their excellent cuisine and real ales.
There are many historic houses and National Trust properties to visit locally, Killerton House, Knightshayes Court near Tiverton, Shute Barton at Axminster, the Old Bakery and Forge at Branscombe.
The Cathedral city of Exeter is only 23 miles distance, there are regular rail journeys from Honiton should you wish to keep car use to a minimum. The city is well worth a visit, there are bars and restaurants set around the beautiful Cathedral, museum with exhibits of Exeter silver, the Northcott theatre and several other arts establishments.
For those with children there are plenty of activity centres to keep them entertained, apart from the tennis court.
