Vacation Rental Description
Popular rural cottage set in a secluded valley down a ¼ mile lane. The accommodation adjoins the farmhouse and has a large lounge, a well-appointed kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed; the other has a double and a single bed. The kitchen has a gas cooker, a microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a fridge/freezer. In the large lounge/diner is a c.d. player, a digital TV with DVD player and video player. There is a patio with a BBQ and some fields to walk in. Three pubs are within 2 miles, all do food and there are a couple of restaurants in the same area. 
The nearest town is the market town of Tavistock. This too has it’s fair share of public houses, restaurants and take-a-ways. Tavistock was voted the best market town in 2005 and the farmers market (on 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month) was the southwest winner and national finalist. The town has a good range of local and national shops. There is a petrol garage and shop at the top of our lane. 
There are many attractions in Devon and Cornwall including the National Marine aquarium, the National Maritime museum and the world famous Eden Project. Dartmoor is just a few miles away with it’s wild beauty a must for all walkers (you can drive around as well). The north and south coasts are just 30 to 40 mins drive away. There is fishing in the area, river, lake and sea are all available, several golf courses are reasonably close by including Jack Nicklaus designed St Mellion course.
