Linked to Bigbury-on-Sea by a short sandspit which is covered at high tide is Burgh Island where famous guests of the beautiful Art Deco hotel include Agatha Christie, The Beatles and Noel Coward who visited the hotel, intending to stay three days and ended up staying three weeks!
