Cobblestones cottage is a three storey stone cottage believed to be built in 1710. Once part of the old rope works, it is nestled amongst the old winding streets on the east side of Mevagissey. Away from the hustle and bustle of the quayside, Cobblestones offers views across the rooftops of the village, yet its peaceful and quiet location is only moments away from the picturesque harbour.
Recently refurbished, yet still retaining all of its character and charm, Cobblestones has been tastefully fitted with quality furniture and modern appliances to make your holiday as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Mevagissey itself is a picturesque fishing village which makes a convenient base for your holiday. It is approximately 7 miles from ‘The Eden Project’, 2 miles from ‘The lost Gardens of Heligan’ and central for many Beautiful beaches and quiet coves.

Cobblestones offers accommodation for 5 guests plus one infant. There are 3 bedrooms, one double, one twin, and one single, sleeping a total of five persons. A travel cot, stair gates and high chair are available on request.
We believe in an ‘all inclusive’ pricing policy. We therefore do not have any hidden or additional charges. There are no heating supplements and all power is included in our tariff. In addition we provide bathroom towels as well as kitchen cloths, tea towels, etc. When you arrive you will find the beds already made with cozy duvets and pillows. We also provide blankets and top sheets if duvets are not your thing. We do not charge for cleaning at the end of your stay. In fact the only addition you need add to your weekly rate is our security deposit of £100 which is refunded in full subject to deduction for breakages.
Mevagissey is a working fishing village from which both fishing and leisure trips can be booked. There is a good selection of places to eat out, from restaurants, and taverns to quayside fish and chips. There are bakeries offering Cornish Pasties, a coffee shop and also a traditional tea rooms for that all important ‘Cornish cream tea’, all a short walk from the cottage. You can browse the day away in Mevagissey’s quayside shops and galleries or for the more energetic you can take a walk along the coastal paths or perhaps rent a bicycle from nearby Pentewan.

The cottage is non smoking, and unsuitable for guests with mobility difficulties due to the layout of the house and also the steepness of the road/access into Mevagissey. We are sorry but we are unable to accommodate any pets. cobblestones Cottage has no garden or outside space, however there are parks within easy walking distance. In common with many properties in Mevagissey, there is no specific reserved parking. However, there usually are available spaces on the road, either directly outside the property or within the local area, which are used by locals and other holidaymakers. It should be noted that Cliff Street is a steep and narrow road and therefore is 'Challenging' to park on if you are not used to on street parking. There are also a number of pay car parks within Mevagissey village centre about 2 minutes walk away. There are several pubs, restaurants, tea/coffee rooms, takeaway and bakery offering various themes and food within the village centre. Guests are welcome from 3pm onwards on the first day of their booking and we will meet you at the cottage at a pre arranged time. Guests should be ready to leave the cottage before 11am on the day of leaving unless otherwise arranged in advance.

We do provide a TV & DVD player - but thats only if you want to stay in. There is regular live entertainment in the village in the taverns and pubs, the locals are friendly and the beaches are superb, in fact there is always something to do day or night what ever the weather. We have all the normal kitchen equipment you would find in your own home - but why stay in and eat if there is such a good choice locally - We do not provide a dishwasher though.. perhaps you should bring the kids after all?
Cobblestones is on three floors: On the ground floor you will find the kitchen diner and the bathroom; The 1st floor has three bedrooms; The second floor is entirely made up of the lounge, with views across the rooftops of Mevagissey into the valley.
There is no garden or outside space.

Mevagissey boasts galleries, taverns, restaurants, a traditional tea room and coffee houses. Unlike many Cornish coastal villages, the Cornish have not all moved out and therefore it is open all year round and retains much of its unique ‘Cornish-ness’.
The beautiful Roseland Peninsula leading down to St.Mawes is approx 5 miles, the renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan approx. 2 miles, and the Eden Project approx 6 miles. Mevagissey also has a museum and small sealife aquarium.
Mevagissey is a fishing village, day trips and fishing can be booked from the Quayside. why not appreciate Cornwall’s magnificent coast line by walking the coastal pathsor cycle the Camel trail. Bicycles can be rented nearby. There are a choice of riding schools locally, with instruction or countryside hacking all year round. There are canoe hire shops nearby and locally Guided tours for sea and river Kayaking can be booked From Fowey.
