If you are looking for a peaceful holiday where you can relax from the stress and strain of everyday life, then Chy Gever is in an ideal setting surrounded by farmland and moors and with views to the sea.Situated on the western side of Bartinney hill looking over the patchwork of farmland leading down to the cliffs and costal footpaths. Chy Gever has views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Scilly Isles you are 3 miles from the small market town of St Just.
St Just has a good range of shops including; bakers, butchers, grocers, pubs, a chemist and post office, Indian, Chinese and fish and chip take-aways, tea rooms and restaurants, as well as galleries, potteries and craft shops. The north Atlantic coast, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and a world heritage site has breathtaking coastal and hill walks, beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets and is steeped in Cornish history. On a clear day the panoramic view from the top of Bartinney hill takes in St Michaels Mount, Mounts Bay, the Isles of Scilly, Lands End, Pendeen, the moors toward St Ives, the Lizard Penisular and St Austell clay workings to the east.

Chy Gever, Cornish for goat shed, is a single storey granite barn that has been converted into a spacious and comfortable self-catering holiday cottage sleeping two in a double room with the option of a bed settee in the main living area.
The Accommodation
Enter from the front door directly in to a bright and spacious open plan living area with original wooden beams and views to the countryside that surrounds the property. A sofa and armchair with coffee table provides a comfortable place to relax, with a CD player, TV with Freeview, DVD player and IPod docking station for entertainment.
There is a modern and well equipped kitchen area with dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge with icebox, washer dryer and microwave. The cupboards are well stocked with a good selection of crockery, pots, pans and utensils.
The farmhouse table and chairs is a lovely setting for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but you also have the option to step out through the patio door to the garden where you will find a delightful gravelled courtyard with a set of garden furniture for al fresco dining.
Through a hallway to the double bedroom with double aspect views and plenty of storage, plus there is an additional bed settee in the living area (please ask for details when booking).
The shower room has a good sized shower cubicle with power shower for instant hot water, sink, toilet, shaver point and towel rail with the luxury of under floor heating.
Reached by an unmade track which leads up to a parking and turning area for the holiday cottages and farmhouse, there is ample parking for two cars to the front of the cottage.

- Travel Info: If you are driving to Bartinney Barns the post code for sat nav is TR19 7RR. Follow the A30 down through Cornwall to Penzance and then take the A 3071 towards St Just. In just over 5 miles take a left turn towards Sancreed, then the second left and then turn right into the farm lane at the sign for Bartinney Barns self catering holiday cottages.
Although off the beaten track Bartinney Barns can be part of a fly drive or train drive holiday. There is a train service from Newquay airport to Penzance.
