Located in a secluded and peaceful setting on the Land’s End peninsula, The Bowji, Cornish for the cow shed, is a single storey granite barn that has been charmingly converted. Beautifully presented and well equipped, The Bowji comfortably sleeps four.
From the entrance hallway, to your left is a bright and comfortable open plan living area with views to the farmland and moors that surround the property.
There is a well equipped kitchen area with dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge with icebox, washer dryer and microwave along with a good selection of crockery, pots, pans and utensils. There is a table and chairs for dining and comfortable seating for four on a sofa and two armchairs, along with a CD player and a TV with Freeview, DVD player and IPod docking station.
Step outside through the patio door to a delightful decked, gravelled and lawned garden area with a set of patio furniture and barbeque.The patio and garden catch the morning sun.
From the hallway, the spacious master bedroom with views to the countryside has a double bed and ample storage with the additional bonus of an en suite toilet, sink and cabinet with light and shaver point.
The second bedroom has adaptable beds offering the choice of a double, 2 single beds or full-sized bunk beds. Please mention when booking how you would like the room set up so that we can be ready for your arrival.
There is a shower room with a good sized shower cubicle with power shower for instant hot water, sink, toilet, shaver point and towel rail with the luxury of under floor heating
Reached by an unmade farm track which leads up to a parking and turning area for the holiday cottages and farmhouse, there is ample parking for two cars to the front of the property.

• The cottage has a private water supply with the spring water filtered and steralised using UV light.
• The cottage is non smoking
• There is an excellent mobile phone signal at the cottages.
• A cot and high-chair are available on request.
• To ensure your stay is hassle free, prices include hand and bath towels (not beach towels), bed linen and electricity.
• The property is available from 3pm on your arrival day and must be vacated by 10am on your departure day.

- Travel Info: If you are driving to Bartinney Barns the post code for sat nav is TR19 7RR. Follow the A30 down through Cornwall to Penzance and then take the A 3071 towards St Just. In just over 5 miles take a left turn towards Sancreed, then the second left and then turn right into the farm lane at the sign for Bartinney Barns self catering holiday cottages.
Although off the beaten track Bartinney Barns can be part of a fly drive or train drive holiday. Both Penzance railway station (www.car-hire-centre.co.uk/rd-uk/penzance.html or www.europcar.co.uk/car-hire-PENZANCE.html) and Newquay airport have car rental facilities (Avis 01872 262 226, Europcar 01637 860 337 or www.carrentals.co.uk/car-hire/newquay-cornwall-international-airport-transport.html). There is a train service from Newquay airport to Penzance.
Penzance to St Just has a 30 min bus service on weekdays, hourly in the evenings and on Sundays. Taxis are available from Penzance (Taxi rank at the railway station) or St Just to Bartinney barns (01736 332022, 01736 871 786 or 01736 367 773).
