Vacation Rental Description
This pretty cob and thatch cottage stands at the end of a row and is situated in the very heart of the picturesque conservation village of Mithian. Reputedly one of the oldest villages in Cornwall, it has a cluster of thatched cottages together with a 16th-century inn with Elizabethan courtyard. This idyllic village is just 5 minutes from the A30 and 2 miles from the historic coastal village of St Agnes.
Whitewalls is a delightful cottage for 2 people, comfortably furnished in modern style with a blue and white theme in the sitting room and bedroom. Entry to the cottage is through a side gate into a small private courtyard with colourful pots of plants and a bench for 2. A stable door leads into the galley kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge, toaster, kettle, sufficient crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils for two people.
The sitting room with its exposed beams and a slate and stone hearth for an open fire has comfortable seating, TV(with digital channels) /Integrated DVD Player and CD player /radio. The downstairs bathroom has toilet, shower cubicle and washbasin. Steep stairs (not suitable for children, elderly or infirm people) go up to the bedroom which is light and bright with windows to the front and side. It has a double bed (bed linen is provided), wardrobe, drawers. A radio alarm clock and hairdryer are provided. There are additional storage drawers and a cupboard in the sitting room.
Parking on road outside cottage. Electricity included in rental. Storage heaters in main rooms and electric fan heater in bathroom. Initial coal supplied.

Mithian is surrounded by delightful countryside with numerous lovely walks. The nearest cove is a 35 minute walk through peaceful little Jericho Valley.
Many and varied stretches of the spectacular southwest coastal path are accessible, from the high cliffs of the North Coast to the Lizard, Land's End, the delightful Roseland Peninsula,plus the creeks of Carrick Roads and the Helford Passage.
Near to St Agnes are the renowned surfing beaches of Trevaunance Cove and Chapel Porth.
This is also an industrial heritage area of the tin-mining era.
St Agnes has a range of art and craft shops.
Truro is just 7 miles with its many shops, restaurants and theatre. The famous Minack open-air theatre on the cliffs is about 45 minutes drive away.
The towns and art galleries of St Ives and Penzance are a short drive away as are Falmouth's Maritime Museum and the Eden Project. Many historic houses and gardens are easily accessible.
