The chalet is set in 27 acres of parkland and is one mile from the village of St Merryn, which offers 3 restaurants, two pubs ( one of which is owned by the celebrity chef Rick Stein ), an award winning fish and chip shop, several local stores, a post office and petrol filling station. The area is famous for its 'seven bays in seven days' which are all within walking distance. The Eden Project is half an hours drive away through very pleasant countryside. Port Isaac, where the famous Doc Martin series was filmewd is approximately 9 miles away and Newquay, renowned for its nightlife and surfing is 11 miles along the coastal road.
