Vacation Rental Description
Chy Byghan is one of a number of cottages converted from stone built barns around a central courtyard. Snuck into one corner, the double glazed front door opens into a small entrance hall with a shower room W.C. with hand basin on one side, and a double bedroom facing the inner courtyard on the opposite side. At the rear of the cottage, a door leads through to a bright living room with a natural decor and colour scheme and two windows looking across the road to fields and the countryside. There is a seating area with a new sofa bed (with a special matress designed to be good for your back) and a kitchen/diner with a pine table and bench seats and a galley style kitchen area with light coloured fitted units. The cottage has been refurbished recently and the floors in the kitchen area and hall are laminated with new carpet laid more recently elsewhere. We have also installed a new washing machine in the past year. There's a shared car park at the rear of the group of cottages.
We like to consider the environment too and where possible environmentally friendly cleaning products are used by our cleaners which is good for allergy sufferers and energy saving bulbs are fitted virtually throughout.
If you want to give the car a rest then jump on a bus. There is a service that runs along the road next to the cottages during the summer months. Porth beach offers safe bathing and is just a ten minute walk by road, as are a pub, cafes and the coastal footpath. There's a convenience shop in the camp site just a few minutes walk down the road which you can also use. Local hotels in the area welcome non-residents to their restaurants. Golf, horse riding and ten pin bowling are all available nearby. The cottage has many features including a microwave, and a travel cot. Electricity and heating is inclusive.
The cottage is ideal for a couple but for a value holiday it can sleep up to 4 (2+2 a double bed and a new double sofa bed) and often does!

Just half a mile from the large golden sandy beach at Porth and even less to Whipsiderry beach on the coast road just north of Newquay, this is one of a small group of single and two storey cottages with country views. The cottage is also just a couple of miles from the rest of Newquay's surfing beaches including the famous Fistral and Watergate Bay. Both play host to international water sport competitions and are probably the best known surfing beaches in the UK. Watergate Bay is also known for it's kite surfing, kayaking and even grassboarding and is the home of Jamie Oliver’s new Fifteen2 restaurant. There's a footpath near the cottage to the bay. For those who enjoy a walk it's around a mile. There are a wide selection of indoor and outdoor attractions within easy reach including a zoo, sealife centre and good nightlife in the resort of Newquay about two miles away. The Eden project is just half an hours drive away.
