Vacation Rental Description
This immaculate cottage is the privately owned winter home of Artist Rae Pugh and Writer James Webb. The house is rented out during the summer months to kind and caring holiday makers. Dizzard meaning 'Steep Place'is a peaceful hamlet set in a breathtaking landscape where the changing light offers amazing skies and beautiful sunsets. It is for that reason we offer Valley View as more suitable to those looking for a relaxing holiday within close distance of all amenities and ideally suited to couples, families and walkers/cyclists wishing to explore North Cornwall.
Set in 3.5 acres of meadowland visitors are able to wander the natural woodlands and walks that surround the area. Children are able to visit the ducks and chickens kept on the land and we are told they are a favourite with all ages. There is the opportunity to arrange Watercolour Art Classes with Rae during your stay in her fully equipped art studio.
Closeby are the beaches of Crackington Haven, Bude and Widemouth Bay which are noted for surfing and body boarding for the fit and adventurous or if a slower pace is what you seek the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic offer sandy beaches and rockpools to explore.
The cottage sleeps up to 5 people and is centrally heated with a twin bedded and double bedded room with occasional small single bed for a fifth guest if needed. Fully equipped for 5 people the cost includes heating, lighting and bedlinen (towels not provided). Log fires are available at a small charge out of main season. The cottage has TV, DVD and Wireless Broadband connections. There is parking for 2 cars and sheds for storing bikes etc.
The gardens are private to the cottage and offer a large Patio with breathtaking views out to sea and a barbecue
(small barbecue provided) area where guests can share an outdoor meal whilst taking in the views of the Valley and sea.
We do allow one small breed dog by arrangement only, but this is a farming community and dogs must be on a lead and never left alone in the property.
