rental property

Vacation Rental Description
The cottage is part of a small select development of holiday homes set in a peaceful valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor and within easy reach of the wonderful beaches of the North Cornish coast.

Waters Edge provides no smoking accommodation for 5 people in a comfortable, 3 bedroomed, modern, detached cottage and, as its name imples, is situated on the banks of a river.

There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. Bed linen is provided and the beds will be made up for your arrival.

A travel cot and high chair are available on request.

The open plan kichen/lounge/dining area is very comfortably furnished and equipped to a high standard.

The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath and one hand towel and one bath towel are provided for each guest.

There is electric heating throughout making it cosy in the colder months.

At the back of the house is a private patio overlooking the river (more of a stream than a river)! The cattle and the sheep in the meadow opposite come down to the water's edge to drink and often walk up the river in front of the patio.

Garden table and seats, together with a barbecue, make the patio an ideal place for eating outside.

Although the house is on one level it is not adapted for wheelchair users but is ideal for anyone that has difficulty managing stairs.

Waters Edge is ideally suited to couples and families with responsible children who enjoy a little peace and quiet and appreciate nature. There is a lot to explore and many activities to enjoy so a car is advisable. An allocated car parking space is provided close to the cottage.

There is a tennis court on site and 2 racquets and a few tennis balls are provided.

For the more adventurous there is a great variety of sport and leisure activities close by. Fishing, bird watching, horse riding, golf, swimming, surfing, walking and even microlight flying to name but a few. There are plenty of adventure parks and farms parks for the younger children.

North Cornwall is well known for its rugged coastline, pretty fishing villages and spectacular surfing beaches. The South West Coast Path is a walkers paradise and Bodmin Moor with its tors and lakes is also great for hiking or horse riding. The south coast of Cornwall also has some very pretty resorts and some well known tourist attractions including the Eden Project. All these places are easily accessible and even Lands End can be reached in about an hour and a half.

Short breaks available and a reduction for a couple staying by themselves.

Please be aware that the river at the back of the house is unfenced so young children need to be supervised when playing outside.
