This 17th Century cottage is ideally placed for visiting the new South Downs National Park with many footpaths including the South Downs Way and Downslink footpaths (accessed via our private lane). Within a mile are the River Adur, the village pub, post office and shop.
Comfortably furnished Garden cottage, originally a Jacobean farmhouse, was built in the 1600’s. It is self contained yet is attached to New Hall forming the entire North wing. Situated in the owner’s grounds at New Hall, a listed historic house with extensive gardens and surrounded by farmland.

Henfield is a pleasant village with good shopping and traditional inns offering excellent food. It is well placed to access Hickstead and Ardingly showgrounds.
Brighton is a vibrant city offering regular festivals and traditional seaside entertainments. Why not shop in The Lanes, lunch at the Marina, visit the spectacular Royal Pavilion, or spend the evening at one of Brighton’s many venues or the opera at Glyndebourne?
Worthing (8 miles) has excellent beaches, shopping and amenities, plus an award winning pier where the annual birdman contest is held.
Sussex is a lovely county with many places of interest. The historic town of Lewes celebrates bonfire night with a magnificent procession and firework displays. Why not visit the Roman city of Chichester and its acclaimed Festival Theatre or Arundel Castle? The local RSPB, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust properties and Pagham Harbour have much to offer bird spotters. Within a short drive are the Bluebell Railway, Goodwood, numerous historic houses and gardens, including Wakehurst Place, Nymans and Borde Hill. Littlehampton and other coastal resorts are within reach. To the north of Henfield is the timeless Sussex Weald. Nearby Horsham has regular farmers' markets.
