Vacation Rental Description
The spacious accommodation comprises of an entrance hall, a large kitchen/ diner, a lounge and a bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The property is ideal for 2 people.
The kitchen/diner is well equipped with electric hob, fan oven, microwave oven, grill/convection oven, refrigerator, washer/dryer, coffee maker and radio. It has a glass dining table and chairs to seat four. The room has large windows to the front and rear of the property overlooking the square and mature gardens. A large antique stained glass window feature allows additional light into the hallway. The curved church front door is over 300 years old. The door to the rear garden leads from the hallway.
The lounge is a quaint airy room with leaded windows, beams and an exposed brick fireplace (not operational). It has large sliding patio doors leading to the garden. Soft furnishings include 2 large sofas and a chair. There is a flat screen television with freeview digital tuner, a DVD player, a CD player and tape deck. A small selection of games, books, music and DVDs are available. Smoking is permitted in the garden, but unfortunately not in the house.
The bedroom is reached via a staircase from the lounge, and comprises of a double bed, built-in wardrobe, further hanging space, shelves for clothing and a small dressing table. A travel cot or Z-bed can be provided on request. Coordinated fabrics are used throughout. There is a small television together with tea and coffee making facilities. Towels and linen are included.
At the rear of the bedroom is an en suite bathroom comprising of a WC, shower and pedestal hand basin. A door from the bathroom leads to a tiny balcony and staircase to the rear garden.
Visitors have use of the garden, which is shared with the owners who live in the adjoining property. Garden furniture including table, chairs, sun loungers and a BBQ are provided for the sole use of the property. Croquet and badminton equipment are provided and a rotary clothes line is also available.
There is a raised patio and shaded area by an 18th century litchgate feature. The garden has mature trees and well established plants and shrubs

The property is less than five minutes walk from the sea and local shops, yet hidden away in an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Lawn Cottage provides the discerning visitor with ideal holiday accommodation suitable for a couple.
Herne Bay is a small town of mainly Victorian origin located on the northeast coast of Kent, about an hour and a half and 65 miles east of London by road.
The resort is a popular destination for water sports, windsurfing, sailing and jet-skiing but is still suitable for sandcastles, swimming and excellent fishing too. Popular wildlife sailing trips leave most days to see seals in their natural habitat. Herne Bay takes place in August each year.
The historic city of Canterbury is 6 miles away. Other local seaside towns include Whitstable, Margate and Broadstairs.
