A fully glazed front provides an airy light environment whilst underfloor heating ensures cosy winter nights.
Our farm is managed for wildlife and just won the 2010 RSPB Nature of Farming Award for SE England. Flowers and bird seed are grown for target species.
The location, only 1 hour from London or the South coast beaches provides the perfect opportunity to either 'get away from it all' or as a central base to explore many of the world-famous sites of Southern England such as Stonehenge or New Forest. The farm is managed for conservation and provides the opportunity for observing wildlife, including barn owls right outside the door. Walking or off-road cycling routes are accessible from the doorstep. An idyllic quiet setting.
Dines Barn is perfectly situated for a rural self-catering holiday cottage approximately 3 miles North West of Andover to explore some the premier tourist sites of Southern England. The barn is approximately 1/2 half hour drive from from beautiful cathedral towns of Salisbury and Winchester or the traditional market towns of Marlborough, Hungerford or Newbury. Oxford, Bath and London are around 1 hours drive. Visit the famous archaeological sights of Stonehenge, Avebury or Danebury Ring or the New Forest National Park.Visit the seaside resorts or the naval dockyards in Portsmouth (with HMS Victory and the Mary Rose) and the motor museum at Beaulieu. The surrounding rolling farmland provides an ever-changing backdrop for the perfect holiday. A network of chalk streams including the famous River Test meander through the area providing the ideal environment for outdoor activities. Local social life centres on many welcoming local pubs with great choices of eating options.
