2 Bedroom Self Catering Cottage in Rye Town

The house has been built to a very high standard, and furnished with great flair to provide an extremely comfortable and attractive 4 star self-catering holiday home with the great advantage of parking for three cars, a luxury in Rye. 
 
We pride ourselves on presenting the house to the highest standard of cleanliness yet with a homely character. We understand that you may be tired from your journey and in need of a hot drink and a bite to eat, which we provide in your Welcome Pack. 
 
THE ENTRANCE HALL: upon entering through the front door, there is a door to back garden and internal door to the garage. A cupboard conceals a washer/dryer machine. At the end of the hallway there is a smart tiled cloakroom with toilet and basin. 
 
THE GARDEN: has been designed to reflect the local environment, using a mixture of beach shingle, decking and paving. A high wall and fencing offers privacy, with a splash of colour emerging from the newly planted flowers. 
 
THE LOUNGE AREA: as you walk into the lounge area your eyes are drawn to the balcony, a main feature of the room. The exceptionally comfortable, large sofa and armchair are a necessity after a long day’s sight seeing, complete with occasional tables. A neat slim line modern cabinet with matching wall unit supports a LCD flat screen TV complete with DVD player.  
 
THE DINNING AREA: is an open plan area neatly situated conveniently to the kitchen. The stylish circular glass topped table and tall upright leather chairs, provide a sophisticated and comfortable environment that may keep you at the table all evening. 
 
THE KITCHEN: the Swedish style cream kitchen with solid oak worktops is fully equipped for making anything from a quick breakfast to a four course evening meal. The kitchen is equipped with top quality appliances, including a dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, George Foreman grill, fridge/freezer and microwave with a comprehensive selection of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery: everything you will ever need to make you feel ‘home from home.’ You will even have a place to store your wine if you venture to one of the many local vineyards. 
 
THE FRONT BEDROOM: has been designed to work using either the bed as a King size or Twin beds, (if a twin is required this must be requested at time of booking). No expense has been spared on the comfort of the bed with top quality double sprung beds, so you can be sure of a good nights sleep. The room has a bespoke headboard as a central feature of the main wall, fitting into the simple black colour theme. The Venetian mirror dressing table reflects the light from the window and the black lace curtain enhances the stylish look. The large built in cupboard has ample hanging and shelf space, while the matching bedside tables finish the room. 
 
THE BACK BEDROOM: has been styled in tones of red with a feature bespoke headboard with matching curtains, throw and lampshades to complete the overall look. There is a top quality sprung double bed for a good night sleep, simple storage space for hanging clothes with shelves and additional drawer space in the tall maple chest. The look is completed with a decorative hand painted dresser and matching bedside cabinet. 
 
THE BATHROOM: has been tiled to match the downstairs cloakroom with a chrome finish taps, tiled walls and floor.  
 
CHANGE OVER DAYS ARE FRIDAY-FRIDAY. SHORT BREAKS ARE BASED ON A 4 NIGHT STAY IN LOW SESSON ONLY.

SORRY: the property is NON SMOKING and we do not accept pets. It is only available for weekly bookings and is not suitable for young children due to the 2 open flights of stairs. 
 

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve For those who are more energetic, Rye Habour Nature Reserve is an enjoyable walk full of wildlife for the birdwatcher or nature lover. Or if you prefer a beach walk you could continue onto Winchelsea beach pass the lifeboat house and on. Camber Sands with its miles of sandy beaches with its picturesque dunes it is also very popular with wind and kite surfers though also a great place to walk. Camber Castle Camber Castle is one of Henry VIII’s Device Forts, also known as Henrician Castles, built to protect the huge Rye anchorage. Camber castle was built using the earlier circular tower, like all Henry VIII’s fortifications. However by the end of the 16th century the silting of the Camber made the castle largely obsolete and in 1637 it was disbanded. It is now owned by English Heritage after being taken over by the state in 1967 and is open to the public at weekends from July to September.

Rye Watersports 
Rye Watersports is based on an inland lake on the South East Coast UK. It's only one hour from south London, in an idyllic situation near Camber Sands. The Kent and Sussex coast for sea based kite surfing lessons and windsurfing lessons is only minutes away. This large coastal lake in Southern England is the perfect location to learn water sports.
