The Hotel Lindum

Hastings: The ‘Birth Place of Television’ is well worth a look. Situated on the coast of East Sussex, this charming seaside town has a long tradition of seafaring, and fishing. It was a major port in the time of William the Conqueror, and was one of the Cinque Ports, which made up the defensive force of the country. Once the home of the Scottish engineer and inventor of the television, John Logie Baird, it is today a relaxed and delightful place to spend a holiday, or just a few days away.

The Hotel Lindum is superbly situated right on the Hastings seafront, and has magnificent views of the beach and surrounding area, yet is just a hop and a skip from the centre of town for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Stroll along the seafront promenade from Hotel Lindum, and you will find the Pier. Though not open to the public, it is a great Hastings landmark.
