Vacation Rental Description
New in summer 2009 to the holiday lettings market this beautiful apartment has been refurbished to a wonderful standard and provides ideal accommodation for a holiday or short break. Dating from the early 1800s the lower level bedroom and lounge typify the Georgian period in terms of size and ceiling height.
Located in the heart of the favoured Old Town with its renowned shops, pubs and restaurants and just metres from the beach, this apartment provides the ideal holiday location.
Whilst the apartment can comfortably accommodate 8 persons the day bed in bedroom 1 can be arranged as a further single bed providing occasional accommodation for an extra person.
3 bedrooms have double beds and the fourth has 2 singles. This apartment has uninterrupted coastal views from the south facing bedroom 1 and the lounge/diner whilst the 3 rear-facing upper level bedrooms have wonderful cliff views.
Hastings is a traditional seaside resort famed for it's fresh fish and is home to the country's largest beach based fishing fleet. Take time out to visit the fishing huts and the fishermens' museum.
Hastings has all the traditional attractions of a seaside resort; amusements, fun fair, miniature railway,crazy golf etc but offers a lot more besides.You can visit Underwater World or Smugglers Advenure or take the West Hill Cliff Railway to visit the castle ruins. Alexendra Park with its beautiful lake is a great place for a picnic if you don't fancy the beach.
The Old Town and George Street offer an eclectic mix of bars, restaurants, cafes and inns which sit alongside art galleries and a variety of unique shops. The Town also boasts two theatres: The White Rock and The Stables.
Further afield you can find golf clubs at Battle and Sedlescombe and water sports at Bewl Water or Rye.
Hastings is located on the South Coast approx 110km from London. It is well served by both road and rail. London Gatwick Airport is the closest airport (103km) whilst Heathrow airport is 141km.
Eurotunnel is located 67km to the east and Dover Ferry Port is 78km to the east.
South East England combines the highest average daytime temperatures found in the British Isles with the highest sunshine averages on the British mainland.
The coast has consistently more sunshine than the inland areas: sea breezes, blowing off the sea, tend to clear any cloud from the coast. Hastings is bordered to the East by Rye and to the West by Bexhill and Eastbourne.

Facilities
All linen and towels are provided and are changed weekly. A hi-chair and cot are available on request. A free welcome pack is provided. There is public car-parking available 250m from the apartment at a cost of £6.00 per day or £22.00 per week. Strictly no smoking. Strictly no pets allowed.

Minimum 3 night stay. Payment is accepted by bank transfer or cheque. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable £250 security deposit is also payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. This will be refunded within 5 working days of departure assuming no damage/breakages or excessive cleaning. If you cancel your booking within seven days of receiving our written confirmation, we will refund the balance of any money you have paid us unless the booking has been made within 6 weeks of arrival in which case we reserve the right to retain all monies except the Security Deposit. After such period, if you cancel your booking more than 6 weeks prior to the Arrival Date, we will retain the Initial Deposit and refund the balance of any money you have paid to us. The pre-paid metered electricity and gas used will be deducted from the security deposit.
