Main Description

Superbly located in a beautiful countryside setting, this attractive cottage makes a wonderful retreat. The property shares the use of a heated outdoor pool, covered outdoor BBQ and eating area, tennis court and large games room with table tennis, snooker and basic fitness equipment.

The period living room features a beamed ceiling, open fire and comfortable furniture including a sofa bed that could be used to accommodate an occasional 5th guest. TV and DVD, CD player and a selection of games and activities are provided.

The light and airy dining hall has a table that will comfortably seat 4/5 and has lovely views across the lawns. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, hob, microwave, kettle and full range of every day kitchen utensils. There is access to a large washer and drier situated 1 minutes walk from the cottage

The bathroom has a very cottagey feel and has wc, basin and a large roll top bath with shower attachment


Duvets, sheets and towels are included and will be changed weekly.

Scenic walks can be enjoyed around the owner’s 50-acre estate with ponds and horse paddocks, and public footpaths lead to the Arun and Wey canal. The cottage is well placed for exploring the area; the quaint hamlet of Alford has a church, shop and pub (¾ mile), and within easy driving distance are historic Guildford (trains to London 30 minutes), Horsham, Brighton, Gatwick, Heathrow, plus many National Trust homes and gardens. For younger visitors the property is within reasonable driving distance of Lego Land, Chessington World of adventure and Thorpe Park!

There are a number of excellent golf courses in the area. The closest course is located at Wildwood Golf course a 36 hole course approximately 2 miles from the property. Bramley Golf, Cranleigh Golf and Leisure and Slinfold Golf Courses are also within 10-15 minutes drive
