There are lots of activities such as trout fishing and salmon fishing on the River Tweed, cycling on the Tweed cycle way and the many quiet country roads, golf with freedom of the fairways, Kelso races, walking the Abbey walk, southern upland way, coastal walks and tennis. The Northumberland coast is half an hours drive and Alnwick Castle where Harry Potter was filmed and Alnwick Gardens and the Tree house are well worth exploring.

dmonston House offers chalet-style farmhouse self catering accommodation near Kelso in the Scottish Borders with commanding views over the Eden and Tweed valleys to the Cheviot Hills in the south and over rolling farmland to Hume Castle perched on the horizon to the north. There is so much space in the garden and farm you don’t need to leave the place! It has 5 bed rooms.
