Vacation Rental Description
Lincluden is a spacious, comfortable, well equipped red sandstone house that has been sympathetically restored but still retains many original Arts and Crafts features including a large Rennie Mackintosh inspired stained glass window. Outdoors there are a selection of recliners and games equipment.
The large lounge has an open fire, a wide selection of books, games and CDs. The dining room has a farmhouse table to seat 10 adjoining a modern well-equipped kitchen and a separate laundry. There is a large double bedroom downstairs with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs the large master bedroom has a king sized bed, sofa and views of the Ochil Hills. There are two twin bedrooms and a large room with a king sized bed, a family bathroom , a separate shower room and toilet. Despite the quiet location it is only a five minute walk from the town centre.
Crieff has a great choice of pubs, restaurants and attractions right on the doorstep. Nearby the Fair City of Perth has excellent shopping, restaurants, theatre and leisure facilities including Perth racecourse and Scone Palace where the ancient Kings of Scotland were crowned. Stirling has a spectacular castle and, for the energetic, a climb up to the Wallace Monument offers panoramic views over the historic site of the battle of Bannockburn, as far east as the Forth Bridge by Edinburgh and Ben Lomond to the west. Perthshire has many excellent walks and cycle paths including Birnam Woods in Dunkeld, the setting for Macbeth, many rivers and lochs provide excellent fishing, canoeing and sailing and there are numerous golf courses that welcome visitors including Gleneagles (20km). Regarded as the gateway to the Highlands Crieff is ideally situated for exploring much of Scotland - Aberdeen, Inverness, St. Andrews, Oban, Glasgow and Edinburgh are all less than two hours drive.
GUEST BOOK.
Our family went to Scotland and found ourselves in a lovely home with lots of room for privacy as well as great family get togethers! We travelled with three adult children, two of whom had partners with them - hence the need for some privacy. We all really enjoyed the house as well as the proximatey so to many wonderful sites. The owner, Brian, is a wonderful host, helpful but never intrusuve. The house was very well equipped but we particularly enjoyed the great dining table, modern appliances, the lovely garden and, believe it or not, all of the board games! There are many original features in this lovely old home including stained glass and fantastic wide planked wood floors. We highly recommend this property - for a group of adults or families.

We recently spent a week at Lincluden and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is in a great place to visit the local area. There are a large number of places to visit. We were delighted with the house. It's very well-equiped and clean and extremely spacious. It's got real character and at the same time a very homely feel to it. I would thoroughly recommend a stay. And of course, the owners were very friendly and attentive.
The children loved collecting the eggs each morning!

We stayed at Lincluden in July 09 and had a fantastic time in all respects. The home is large, welcoming and well appointed. Hosts Brian and Ann are most engaging couple who were only too pleased to assist us in any way. It is the perfect place to rest and be comfortable. Being so centrally placed in Scotland it is also perfect for tours to any destination.
Lincluden is a short walk to the shops and cafe area in the main street.
The house is perfect for several couples. I would recommend Lincluden to anyone as a home base for tours, or just for a rest in the lovely town of Crieff.
