The Bobbin Mill is a unique conversion of a 200 year old Mill and offers truly comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to eight people. In an idyllic location on the banks of the River Earn, the Mill is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty a mile from the picturesque village of Comrie. The setting and the standard of the accommodation offered, combined with the beauty and convenience of the area make the Bobbin Mill a truly special place to visit.
The Mill is a home from home for our guests, and it is furnished and equipped with that in mind, so all you really need to bring are food and wine.
* The kitchen and dining room are the hub of the house making cooking and eating wonderfully social.
* After dinner, relax in the living room with its wonderful river view and cosy wood burning stove, before retiring to bed.
* The four bedrooms are simply yet stylishly furnished and have very comfortable beds, made up for your visit with fresh, crisply ironed linen, complete with a set of fluffy towels for each guest.
* There are an accommodating number of bathrooms - three in all - one on each floor so housemates don't have to queue!
Location
* There are glorious walks from the Mill to suit all abilities. Fishing is available from the garden as well as further afield.
* The local lanes and roads are wonderful for biking and there are plenty off-road tracks to suit the more adventurous.
* Golf is a way of life in Perthshire and there are over 30 courses in the county ranging from our own local 9 hole course to the world-class championship courses at Gleneagles, a half hour's drive away.
* Comrie itself is a typically friendly Scottish village with a good range of shops, bars, tearooms and restaurants.
* Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow are easy trips and Comrie is an ideal location for exploring the Scottish Highlands and other parts of Scotland.

The kitchen is equipped for 10, and has a gas range cooker, combination microwave, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, and food processor as well as an ipod dock stereo sound system. From the kitchen there is access to the garden and patio overlooking the river. Barbecue equipment and garden furniture are provided for those balmy summer evenings.
The utility room has a washing machine and tumble drier and a drying rack and there is also an outside washing line. Guests are encouraged to recycle, and storage facilities are provided.
The large sitting room is well supplied with easy chairs, sofas, satellite television, DVD and video player, stereo, books and games. Logs are provided for the wood burning stove. All you need to bring are your own CDs and tapes.
Children of all ages are welcome. Up to 2 cots, high chair and pressure mounted stairgates can be supplied if required.

Comrie is an ideal location for exploring the Scottish Highlands and for visits to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Perth. It has a good range of shops, bars, tearooms and restaurants and is 7 miles from Crieff which is the local shopping town.
There are wonderful walks to suit all, from lazy ambles along leafy lanes to tackling the several Munroes in the area. Wildlife, including red squirrels, deer and ospreys can be seen on the doorstep. Fishermen can indulge from the garden or travel the banks of the Earn to the Loch at St Fillans. Comrie is also a perfect location for golfing and for touring the 30+ courses of Perthshire including the world famous Gleneagles courses.
The Bobbin Mill is within easy travelling distance of many local attractions including the oldest distillery in Scotland, water sports on Loch Earn, adventure sports at Aberfeldy, the Crannog centre at Kenmore and the Stuart Crystal centr to name but a few.
