Vacation Rental Description
Loch Tay Lodges are self catering holiday accommodation, set in the Heart of Scotland. They form part of Remony Estate, which surrounds the picturesque village of Acharn, and enjoys stunning scenery overlooking Loch Tay towards Ben Lawers and Schiehallion.
The stone built Grade B listed building was originally constructed in the 1800's by the Earl of Breadalbane, to house crofters. This has now been sympathetically converted to provide six comfortable lodges, whilst retaining many of it's original features.
These quality lodges are fully equipped, requiring you only to bring your food and drink. They are located between the village and the loch, with good parking, a safe play area for chuldren and easy access down to the loch where dogs may be walked. A secluded beach and jetty with access to private boat shed and moorings are a temptation to those wishing to use the state boats, sail theh or simply paddle or have a picnic.
The accommodation comprises six self-catering lodges, sleeping a maximum of between four and eight people each. All lodges are fully equipped for a comfortable stay and feature fitted kitchens, spacious living and dining areas, family bathrooms and cosy bedrooms. Electricity is provided via a metre and all linen, duvets and towels are provided. The lodges are within one mile of the village of Kenmore, which has all necessary amenities including a grocery store, pubs and hotels, enabling you to sample some great local cuisine. A starter-pack of groceries for your arrival is also available upon request.
Nestled in the heart of Scotland on the Remony Estate, and surrounded by some truly fantastic scenery, the lodges are ideally situated for a number of activities, including hill walking, bird watching, loch fishing, canoeing, rafting, horse riding and golf at one of two courses located in nearby Kenmore. Guests are also within easy reach of Blair Castle, Menzies Castle, Scone Palace, several distilleries and some fantastic shopping including the ‘Harrods of the North’ House of Bruar.. There really is something to keep the whole family entertained, enabling you to escape the hassles of modern living and spend quality time together. Cots and high chairs can be provided and well behaved dogs are welcome.
