Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is in a fabulous historic building with original features. There are high ceilings and large windows and hardwood floors. There is a large lounge with Bang & Olufsen entertainment system; a very well equipped separate kitchen; modern bathroom with bathtub and shower and a large double bedroom. The sofa bed in the lounge provides an extra double bed. A double air bed is also available. We can also provide a cot on request. The flat is centrally heated and despite being right in the heart of the city, the location is deceptively quiet. There is Gated access for security
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION - The apartment is not minutes from Glasgow City Centre -- IT IS Glasgow City centre! Yards from Argyle St and Buchanan St with George Square next block up. Restaurants, shopping, transport, tourist sights - all at your doorstep. It is situated in the heart of the Merchant City with its cutting edge theatres, galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants which have all been spawned from previously redundant historic buildings. The exact location is Miller St - for a map see www.bookaflatinglasgow.com Its at the hub of public transport to take you to places such as Loch Lomond, Argyll. Ideal base to explore the city and further afield - even the Highlands.
The main square, George square is only yards away. Glasgow's famous shopping streets are literally on your doorstep and art galleries such as The Gallery of Modern art are less than a block away. The SECC exhibition centre is minutes away and also the Glasgow Art Gallery & Museum which is home to Salvador Dali's famous painting of Christ. The location is quiet and has restaurants and bars and traditional pubs very near. It is only 1 hour away to Loch Lomond and to the Trossachs.

  • The apartment is very well equipped and is a true home from home. The modern kitchen as every appliance you will need including tea and coffeee making facilities. There is a large cooker with ceramic 4 ring hob as well as a Microwave. The lounge has a leather sofa which converts to a comfortable double bed and a leather armchair with footstool. A large occessional table is provided and the entertainment system includes a Bang & Olufsen flatscreen Television with a DVD player. An IPOD dock is also linked in to the TV giving wonderful sound to your music. The double bedroom has ample storage and a hairdryer, hair straighteners and other luxuries are also provided. There is a further connection here for your IPOD and a small breakfast table and chairs. The bathroom is modern with a large mirror and a bath with shower over. Internet access is provided free of charge. It is centrally heated with wooden floors & high ceilings.

  • The location is right in the city centre so you will never have far to walk to enjoy all that a buzzing city like Glasgow has to offer.     A very convenient, well-equipped (including lap-top, internet access, i-Pod dock, 2 TVs, radio and CD player) and comfortable apartment in a beautiful old building in the heart of the Merchant City and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. The booking arrangements were efficient and the security deposit speedily returned. We would certainly stay again and recommend it to friends.

    Had a great stay at the Library apartment. It is situated in a charming period building and in an excellent location. The flat comes equipped with everything one could need and the owner was exceptionally helpful and sorted out any even potential problems.

    If you want to rent a perfectly sized, well equipped and clean flat in the centre of Glasgow you cannot do better than the Library.

    Facilities are good, the flat is well decorated and comes with better facilities than any hotel.

    The owner is easy to contact and very helpful.

    If you want to stay in Glasgow, you would be making a mistake if you didn't stay here!

    Sadly I get to stay in many hotels and apartments all around Europe due to business and with that comes an expectations that is hard to please. I was very comfortable in this apartment as it was very clean and nicely finished. I would be very happy to stay again or bring my wife to Glasgow and stay for a city brake. Highly recommended.

    We stayed in this flat for 5 days and were very pleased with the flat itself and its covenient location. We were within easy walking distance of 2 main rail stations and the major shoppping district of the city. The flat itself is vey comfortable; the kitchen is well-stocked with equipment,utensils,etc. More importantly it was clean, bright and airy. It certainly lived up to the description in the listing.
