Vacation Rental Description
Four people can be comfortably accommodated in two twin/double bedrooms, with a double sofa bed in the living room providing flexibility to increase to a maximum of six. Furnished and equipped to a high standard (Wi-fi included), the apartment enjoys the most wonderful sea views. Smoking is not permitted and unfortunately we do not allow pets. 
 
Accommodation comprises: 
 
A beautifully furnished living room with comfortable double sofa bed, wall mounted 42” flat screen TV (all freeview channels available), BluRay/DVD player, iPod docking station, DAB digital radio, two armchairs and other occasional furniture. French doors open to a sizeable breakfasting balcony with stunning views over the beach and harbour to the Bass Rock and Isle of May. 
 
Two bedrooms, both furnished to the same high standard with fresh linen and towels provided. Bedroom 1 is equipped with zip and link beds so you can choose to have it set up as twin singles or a super king size bed. It has an en-suite shower room, a built in wardrobe and a balcony which enjoys afternoon sun. Bedroom 2 has twin beds and a built-in wardrobe. 
 
An attractive dining kitchen with beautiful sea views, equipped with table and four chairs, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and a full range of cutlery, crockery and serving utentils. There is plenty space in the fitted units for storing food. 
 
A utility room with washer/dryer, ironing and laundry equipment. 
 
A spacious entrance hall with storage cupboards for golf clubs. 
 
A bathroom with WC, bath, electric shower, and shaver socket. 
 
A private parking space to the rear of the building is available for guests use. 
 
The apartment is on the third floor and has two balconies. It is therefore not suitable for very young children, and it is a condition of booking that the client is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all those on the premises during any visit. Subject to this constraint the apartment is a great location for families.

We do our best to provide all you need in your holiday home so you can get on with enjoying your holiday. Fresh bedlinen and towels (not beach towels) are provided for each let, and you will find some complimentary soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. The apartment offers wi-fi over a fast broadband link, so please bring your laptop. Bring your i-pod too as there is a docking station available for guests' use. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and you will find all the materials you need for cleaning, laundry and washing up.

The East Lothian coastline is punctuated with places of interest, including castles at Tantallon and Dirleton dating back to the 13th century. Other attractions include beaches, historic homes and ancient monuments, good walking and cycling routes, and the best collection of golf courses to be found anywhere. 
 
You can hire bikes in town, or go kayaking from North Berwick or Dunbar. The county's interior is dotted with delightful villages where you can stop for refreshment at the many pubs and coffee shops. 
 
The Bass Rock, 2 km offshore, is home to one of the world's largest gannet colonies and dominates the sea view from North Berwick, whilst Aberlady Bay (the UK's first local nature reserve) hosts thousands of migrating birds each autumn. 
 
Edinburgh is just half an hour away by train. Scotland's capital city offers many attractions, but is at it's busiest for three weeks every August during the Edinburgh International Festival.

The railway station is right across the road and a regular rail service provides access to Edinburgh in just 33 minutes. This is an ideal holiday home for families or golfers, with plenty in the local area to see and do during your stay.

East Lothian is the sunniest and the driest area of Scotland, and the mild climate in this sheltered corner of the country makes it a popular year-round holiday destination.

North Berwick is a thriving coastal town with a long and colourful history. The growth of the 'Royal Burgh' is closely linked to the establishment of the railway line in the late 19th century, a time when North Berwick was a fashionable destination for the well to do in society, and became known as the 'Biarritz of the north'.

These days the town is home to a population of around 7,000 and is one of six main towns in East Lothian. Local infrastructure includes a high school, sports centre and swimming pool, health centre, shops, banks, pubs, restaurants, etc. There are golf, rugby, sailing and tennis clubs, and many other tourist attractions. Excellent transport links mean Edinburgh is easily accessible by road or rail.

Local attractions include Tantallon and Dirleton Castles, the Museum of Flight, Glenkinchie Disitillery, and the Scottish Seabird Centre. Boat trips to the Bass Rock and other islands are available from the old harbour in summer months.

At the heart of Edinburgh's golf coast, North Berwick is home to the West Links, the oldest piece of golfing land outside St Andrews and one of the finest courses to be found anywhere. Muirfield, Gullane, Dunbar, and the new courses at Archerfield and Renaissance are all just a short drive away.

For those who simply want to relax and unwind, there are miles of beautiful sandy beaches, good places to walk or cycle, and friendly pubs and restaurants.

During the summer season (June to September), and at Christmas, we take bookings for periods of 1 week (Sat-Sat).
In April and May our schedule allows us to offer a choice of rental periods, either short stays from Fri-Mon or Mon-Fri, or weekly bookings (Fri-Fri). Our Mon-Fri rentals are offered at four nights for the price of three.
Between October and March visits of less than 1 week are available, and we're happy to consider bookings for varying periods. Prices on application.
The apartment comfortably accommodates 4 people, however we are happy to supply extra bedlinen and towels for one or two additional guests using the living room sofa bed. A supplement of £30/week or £6 per night applies.
