Vacation Rental Description
This lower ground floor flat is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of Edinburgh’s renowned New Town. This dignified Georgian terrace, dating from the early 1800s, has been extensively restored to the exacting standards of the Edinburgh New Town’s Conservation Committee.
Situated just off Dundas Street, which leads directly to Princes Street, the Mound and the Royal Mile, this flat combines a central location with the quiet elegance of Georgian Edinburgh.
The flat is centrally heated and decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is equipped with state of the art facilities, while the antique furnishings in the living area impart a feeling of time-honoured refinement.
The flat has its own entrance door, leading into a traditional entrance lobby, from which you enter the spacious hall through a glazed door; antique paintings decorate the hall’s walls, which opens, through another glazed door, into the living room.
The living room is south facing and overlooks the walled gardens of adjacent properties.
It contains a large sofa, chairs and small tables; the television set is fully digital and has a DVD playing facility as well as an iPod dock. An Internet hub provides WiFi Broadband. The wall opposite the sofa is faced with a large book case: the guests are welcome to use the books during their stay.
The dining room (also overlooking the gardens) and the kitchen are situated off the living room: the spaces flow unobtrusively into each other and afford comfort while retaining privacy.
The large double bedroom is situated on the north side of the flat and is equipped with excellent storage facilities.
The bathroom contains a bath with shower, a sink and a large wall mirror. The toilet is separate and contains a sink and a sizeable wall mirror. A hair dryer is provided in the bathroom cupboard.
A cupboard in the hall contains ironing board, iron and cleaning equipment.
The flat could not be better located for those wishing to visit the many attractions of Edinburgh. Princes Street with its shops, gardens and spectacular view of the Castle is just 10 minutes’ walking distance away. Also within easy walking distance are art galleries, museums, theatres and restaurants, cafes and pubs, whilst just around the corner in Dundas Street you will find antiques shops, galleries and local shops.
