Close to world-famous beautiful beaches, Aberlady is situated on the Firth of Forth coast, 17 miles east of Edinburgh and 7 miles south-west of North Berwick. Leisure activities include golf, walking, cycling, horse riding, archery, watersports, freshwater/sea fishing, wildlife and bird watching. 
 
Twentyfour back lane is part of an exclusive development of six architect designed Edwardian-style cottages built in 2004 and situated in the attractive conservation village of Aberlady, East Lothian, Scotland. 
 
In and around Aberlady there is an excellent choice of cafes, pubs, restaurants and farm shops. Twentyfour back lane is situated in the heart of Aberlady, parallel to the Main Street. The village has a mini-market, post office and fish and chip shop. Bar meals are served at the local Inn and the award-winning Ducks at Aberlady. All are within a five minute walk of the cottage. 
 
The cottage offers spacious self-catering accommodation for two adults. From the living/dining area a French window opens on to a private and secluded designer garden, ideal for eating al fresco. 
 
On the upper floor is one double bedroom which also has a French window overlooking the garden. There is an adjacent dressing room, one bathroom with thermostatic wall-mounted shower above the bath and an additional downstairs toilet. In the 'chill-out' room, guests may relax and browse the miniature library, listen to music or enjoy a game of chess or cards. 
 
Equipment includes:- 
 
* digital TV, DVD player and DAB/CD/iPod micro hi fi system (living area); 
* digital TV and radios (bedroom); 
* micro hi fi system ('chill-out' room); 
* DVD, CD and book libraries; 
* wired broadband access facility (laptop not provided); 
* fridge/freezer, electric cooker, gas hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and all requisite kitchen accessories. 
 
A private, designated, car parking space is located opposite the cottage.
