Vacation Rental Description
Riverview Lodge is a charming, timber cabin located in a rural, residential area. Situated in a delightful wooded setting, a haven for wild birds and animals, it boasts spectacular views over the Urr estuary, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
It is in easy walking distance of the picturesque sailing village of Kippford, which has two excellent Inns, a gifts and provisions shop, a sailing club and a chandlery, and is situated in one of the most scenic parts of Scotland. The Victorian seaside village of Rockcliffe is just a 30 minute walk away through the forest or along the famous Jubilee Path.
Riverview Lodge is ideal for walkers or dog owners as there are forest, countryside, beach and coastal walks in close proximity.
If you want a unique, rural retreat with great views or a quaint, well situated base for an action packed holiday Riverview Lodge is the ideal choice.
Facilities
The lodge is reached by several steps up to the balcony which has panoramic views. Constructed of real cedar, it is wood paneled throughout giving it a natural warmth and charm. The open plan living area has double doors onto the balcony, as does the double bedroom. There is Sky Freeview TV, a DVD player and video player as well as a selection of films, games and novels. A wood-burning stove completes the cosiness of this rural retreat. The fitted kitchen includes fridge, electric hob, oven, extractor, washing machine, microwave and breakfast bar - handy for quick snacks or for when there are just two guests in the lodge. Both bedrooms (One double and one twin) have electric heating as well as a choice of natural feather or hollo-fibre pillows. The bathroom has both bath and shower over. Outside there is a large deck area, great for alfresco dining and entertaining friends, spacious lawned grounds and private parking for 2 cars.

Riverview Lodge, on the Solway Coastal Trail, offers easy access to countless activities to suit all age groups. As 'Scotland in miniature' Dumfries and Galloway really has something for everyone!
Within a 4 minute drive there are two golf courses, riding stables, a sailing club, fishing, National Trust property, one of the Seven Stanes mountain bike trails, the famous Jubilee Path, beaches, forest, countryside and coastal walks and two lovely tea rooms serving home made cakes.

Bookings run Friday to Friday. Dates will be reserved for 7 days pending the arrival of: your deposit of £100 deposit (per week) or payment in full, the names and ages of each member of the party and an address for each member of the party (where different from the hirer). The balance is due 6 weeks before commencement of your stay. Payment can be made by cheque or Direct bank Transfer. If the hirer wishes to cancel the booking they should advise the owners immediately by telephone, followed by a confirmation in writing. The owners will (but without obligation whatsoever to the hirer) use their best endeavours to obtain a replacement letting and, if such a replacement is obtained, will then refund the hirer any monies paid, less the deposit, the deposit is non refundable. If the owners are not able to relet, the OWNER shall be entitled to retain all payments already made, and to recover any otstanding balance of the hiring charge.
