This imposing former Victorian villa, a listed building, stands high on an elevated site with splendid views over the attractive Victorian spa town of Moffat and towards the Moffat Hills (Dumfries & Galloway, Southern Scoptland). 
 
The elegant first floor front apartment boasts many of the Villa’s original features, allowing you to experience the spaciousness and style of the Victorian age combined with all the modern comforts. There is gas central heating, dedicated private car parking and a covered area for cycles.  
 
The 24 ft long drawing room offers impressive views over the town of Moffat (less than a 10 minute walk) from the large bay window. All the furnishings are of a high standard and include a dining table and a good quality sofa bed, which can sleep  
two. To help you to relax there is a large TV with digibox, video and DVD plus a music system. 
 
The master bedroom (5ft bed) has an ensuite. The spacious second bedroom has twin beds but if not required, the room - which has a piano - can be arranged as a sitting room. A portable TV can be viewed in either room.  
 
The 16 ft kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with breakfast table, cooker, fridge, freezer, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave and various other small appliances.  
 
The bathroom is stylishly tiled and includes an over-bath shower. 
 
If the apartment looks more like a home than a holiday let, that’s because it’s the owners’ home in Scotland and consequently was furnished and equipped with an attention to detail. It has also been recently decorated throughout. 
 
The Villa is within easy walking distance of Moffat’s attractive centre, which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, hotels, bars and cafes as well as a tourist information office and the famous woollen mill outlet stores. There are facilities for golfers and anglers, while the beautiful Dumfries and Galloway countryside is a haven for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers. Moffat is about a mile from junction 15 of the M74 - which is a continuation of the M6 - and just 30 miles over the border from England, making the town well placed for exploring both the attractions of the region and further north. 
 
This accommodation is not considered suitable for children under five years or pets. Non-smokers only please.

    Three-day breaks are available for £150 low season (31 October 2008 - 6 April 09) and £165 (30 October 2009 - 30 March 2010) and mid season £180(until 30 October 2008) and £195 (17 April 2009 - 25 June 2009 and 4 September 2009 - 29 October 2009). A £150 refundable deposit against breakages is charged regardless of the length of stay. A deposit of 50% of the holiday cost is payable on booking and in the event of cancellation is not refundable unless the apartment can be re-let (minus a 20% administration charge). The balance, to include the £150 breakages deposit, is due no later than 6 weeks before arrival. Heating and electricity are included. Minimum stay is three days. Payment can be accepted by cheque in British Pounds or by bank transfer.
