Main Description

The ground floor of the barn is given over to a multi purpose living room, kitchen and dining area, which has patio doors onto the your own lawned garden (lots of room to kick a football!). The kitchen area is equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher.

The bedrooms are mainly furnished with antiques and are very comfortable. There are 3 twin bedded rooms, one with a private shower. The other two rooms share a bathroom and there is a separate WC. One of the bedrooms has an extra pull down bed enabling the barn to cater for 7 people.

You will have your own private car park and private access to the accommodation as well has having a lawn and garden for you own use.

House martins have a colony under the eaves on the courtyard side and are busy all summer long. When the young are flying, the yard is filled with hundreds of birds!

Stirling, Doune, Aberfoyle, Callander and The Trossachs are all within 20-30 minutes drive: Edinburgh is an hour and Glasgow 45 minutes.

Activities Close By

We are in a rural area, so fishing, golf, cycling, hiking, walking and so on are all easily arranged. We are only 1.5 housr away from Glen Coe for skiing and mountaineering and 2 hours form Glenshee or Aviemore.

Thorntree is on the south side of the Carse of Stirling, opposite Flanders Moss and the Lake of Menteith. It is very central and ideal for self-catering holiday in Scotland. Rates Low Season Price : £250 High Season Price : £600 per Week
£100 deposit to secure the booking. We charge the cost of fuel in addition to the rental tariff. In summer months this is seldom more than £10 or so, but can be higher in the winter months when it is colder and if you are in the house all day. The Balance of rental and fuel charges are paid at the end of your stay. We can take payments using our Paypal account
