Nith Cottage enjoys glorious views from all south-facing windows looking across the garden, over fields and the River Nith, to the Southern Uplands. This spacious cottage is all on one level and is suitable for the disabled.

Large farmhouse dining/kitchen equipped with electric range, dishwasher and fridge, has French doors onto the extensive decked veranda, with BBQ, table, chairs, recliners and hammock.  
 
Utility room off with washing machine, tumble drier, freezer and oil fire boiler.  
 
Lounge with stone inglenook fireplace and solid fuel stove, leather sofas, 32" wide screen TV with surround sound and free digital channels.  
 
Master bedroom with king size metal four-poster bed, with en-suite marble wet room with power shower and under floor heating.  
 
Twin bedroom, with 2 single brass beds.  
 
Main marble bathroom has extra deep whirlpool bath, with power shower over.  
 
The enclosed lawned garden is down steps from the veranda, and has a large separate safe enclosed children's play area to the side.  
 
All bedlinen and towels are provided.

The farm may be of special interest to fishermen with free loch and river fishing, two fishing permits available for the local fishing club, giving additional free fishing on other waters, with access to a stocked troat loch for a small charge. There are many interesting species of land and water fowl on the farm and its boundaries of the river Nith and The Loch O' The Lowes. Guest's should feel free to walk over the farm lands without restriction Other attractions in the area include golf, over 40 courses to choose from, walking, visiting gardens and the Burns Heritage trail. There are numerous historical and industrial attractions within one hour's drive and several excellent day's out for the younger member's of the family. Pub/Hotel 2.5 miles. Centrally located for southwest and central Scotland, making it an ideal base for touring.

Nith cottage was inspection on 19/03/07, from the Scottish Tourist Board achieving a 5 star grading. Due to the costs involved we are not having the cottage graded in 2008, passing the saving onto guests. Please be assured that the high standards will be maintained. Loyalty discount of 10% given to guests who have stayed at Nith Cottage or Mote Cottage in the last 2 years. 2 person discount(using one bedroom/bathroom)of 15% given on bookings during Nov to March (Xmas, New Year & Easter excluded) Discount of 10% for 2 adults only(using one bedroom/bathroom) April -October where short breaks allowed. Changeover dates for weekly bookings are on Sundays, but late availability (within 4 weeks of arrival) and during the winter months we will be flexible on the entry and departure days and the length of bookings. Minimum charge of £100 applies to all bookings
