Vacation Rental Description
Castle Lachlan is the ancestral home of the Chief of the Clan Maclachlan. The house is divided into two with the superior south facing half available for letting. Euan, 26th Chief lives in the other half. The estate extends to 1500 acres bounded on the west side by Loch Fyne. Visitors are encouraged to explore the rugged and unspoilt shoreline, woods and hills. 
 
The castle is decorated to a high standard and allows visitors to enjoy the comfort and style of a great house. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture and the walls are hung with family portraits. 
 
Getting to Castle Lachlan is easy. We are barely an hour from Glasgow Airport.

    • The Castle has a hard outdoor tennis court. All linen, towels and cleaning materials are provided. Over the years we have hosted dozens of parties and weddings and have a great team to help you arrange your big day. We can accommodate from 2 to 40 people at functions inside the house and have hosted events of upto 200 outside in marquees. We are licenced as a venue for civil weddings, the location for humanist ceremonies and been the starting point for weddings held in Strathlachlan Parish Church which stands at the entrance to the estate.

    A 30% deposit is required to confirm a booking. The balance is required 6 weeks before arrival. The deposit and the balance will not be refunded in the event of a cancellation. When a booking has been made , payment of the balance will be the liability of the person who signs the booking form. We will endeavour to re-let the property, in which case we will return the amounts paid less any expenses incurred. We urge clients to take out adequate holiday insurance. We charge a £500 good housekeeping deposit. We deduct the cost of any breakages and additional cleaning from this and return the balance.
