Overlooks the beach from where in days of yore, the steam drifters of the local fishermen were built, and from where the artist John Hook painted the famous 'Home with the Tide' which hangs in the Tate Gallery. The patio area to the rear provides you with total privacy from which you can enjoy the sheer beauty of the sea, al fresco dining, and wonderful sunsets. the Moray Firth dolphins can regularly be seen in the Firth, sometimes providing live entertainment - bring your binoculars! At other times, the local yachts and creel boats sail past the back door and give the occupants of Crooked Hythe a true living seascape to enjoy. Open play style living area, bright and cheery, but ideal for relaxing and unwinding. Perfect sharing with someone special, friends or family.
The property is easily accessible for wheelchair users. There is a ramp from the street and a ramp at the entrance door, the property is all on one level with wide doors throughout but there are no specially adapted bathroom/kitchen facilities.

Activities
Beach: Access to beach from the rear of the property. There are other beaches in the village & wonderful coastal walks, giving access to sandy stretches and rocky inlets, all within 5 miles of the cottage.
Golf: 18 hole coastal course within 1 mile & several courses within the area. Duff House Royal 10 miles. Several links courses nearby.
Findochty has a post office, shop, off license & chemist. Other amenities are accessible in Buckie (3 miles). The local pub, The Admirals, serves meals which come highly recommended & has wonderful views overlooking the picturesque harbour. Dolphin watch trips are available from Buckie harbour. The Fishermans Museum is nearby.
Findochty lies in the heart of 'malt whisky' country & also boasts some of the most beautiful coastline in Scotland. The River Spey lies to the west & the Deveron to the east, two great salmon rivers! There are several castles to visit within an hour's drive, & the historical Elgin Cathedral is certainly worth a visit.
